Day 1 – October 17 ; 6-8pm

Shaping Government Around People: Human-Centered Design in Government

Creating a human-centered design environment is important in creating transparency and for improving delivery of products and services. This session is an exploration of design practice in government and how design process can help our city government identify and respond to the real needs of Angelenos.


Day 2 – October 18 ; 6-8pm

Driving Insights from Data: Analytics and Government

Capturing data is important. Understanding what to do with that data is paramount. Learn about the innovative ways Los Angeles is using data to improve our city and participate in exploring other city-wide concerns that could be addressed using data analysis.


Day 3 – October 19 ; 6-8pm
Making Government more Nimble: Applying Agile Thinking and Methods

Agile is more than a buzzword, it is a practice of delivery. Join our experts in discussing how the spirit of agile can be infused in government processes to create an engaged government that efficiently and effectively serves its citizens.


Day 4 – October 20 ; 6-8pm

How the Public and Private Sectors can Collaborate to Build Capacity

How can public sector and private sector work towards a collaborative governance model to achieve public goals? How can we better incorporate private sector practices into government work? And finally, what private sector practices should we be incorporating? These are the questions we seek to answer.


Day 5 – October 21 ; 6-8pm

The 21st Century Workforce: Attracting and Retaining Top-Tier Talent

In two years, 40 percent of the city’s workforce will be eligible for retirement. How do we prepare for the future and what tools and resources should be considered to make public sector work attractive to the best and brightest.
