Combating cybercrime requires coordination between the public and private sectors to be successful. Working together strengthens our ability to fight crime and provide protection. We will discuss how partnerships among all levels of government and industry and work together to identify and combat cybercrime, and what state and local governments are doing to face the growing cyber threat.

     11:30 a.m.                     Panel: Cybersecurity: A Big Deal for Small Businesses

    Small and medium sized businesses are the backbone of the nation’s economy. They face the same cyber threats as large businesses, often without the necessary resources to prevent, respond, and mitigate these threats. This session will focus on the cybersecurity challenges of small and medium sized businesses, and the impact of small business cybersecurity to the country. Panelists will discuss resources and best practices of not only Los Angeles-based organizations but businesses nationwide and how to better protect themselves.
